The patience of agave, kept in oak.
Heritage tequila casks from Los Altos and the Tequila Valley.
Authentic, CRT-tracked tequila casks held at the producing house in Jalisco — Reposado, Añejo and Extra Añejo expressions matured in American and French oak, allocated by conversation.
Seven years for the agave. Years more in the oak.
Blue agave takes seven to ten years simply to be ready for harvest. The jimadores who cut it have done so for generations. What follows — roasting, milling, fermentation, two distillations — is some of the most patient craft in the spirits world.
The casks we hold are tequila that has chosen to stay in oak long after the law required it. A Blanco rests for weeks; a Reposado for months; an Añejo for at least a year; an Extra Añejo for at least three. The custodians we serve are interested in what happens beyond that — in tequila that has been allowed to slow down.
Every cask is held under CRT supervision (Consejo Regulador del Tequila), the Mexican governing body that tracks every drop of authentic tequila from agave to bottling. There is no shortcut. There is no off-label.
Two soils, two altitudes, two different tequilas.
Los Altos
Jalisco HighlandsIron-rich red volcanic soil, cool nights and 2,000+ metres of altitude. Agave grown here is larger, sweeter and more floral. Highland tequilas tend toward citrus, cinnamon and orchard fruit.
Tequila Valley
Jalisco LowlandsBlack volcanic soil at lower altitude, warmer days and a more mineral profile. Valley tequilas lean earthier, peppery and herbaceous — the older houses of the industry sit here.
Sierra Madre Occidental
MicroclimatesThe mountain range that frames Jalisco creates pockets of unusually long, cool growing seasons. Small craft houses here are producing some of the most distinctive Extra Añejo casks in Mexico.
Notable houses are referenced editorially and reflect publicly known craft traditions in each region. Mention does not imply current stock, partnership or guaranteed allocation.
CRT-tracked from agave to oak, and beyond.
Authentic tequila is one of the most tightly regulated spirits in the world. Every cask we hold carries CRT documentation from harvest through maturation. We work only with houses that operate fully within Denomination of Origin rules — and we keep the paperwork to prove it.
CRT-Tracked Provenance
Each cask carries Consejo Regulador del Tequila tracking from agave field through distillation, oak maturation and onward custody.
Bonded Mexican Storage
Casks rest at licensed bonded facilities in Jalisco under the care of the producing house, with documented chain of custody.
Oak Selection
American white oak ex-bourbon for warmer vanilla and caramel; French oak for tighter spice and structure; sherry and port finishes for Extra Añejo positioning.
Climate Aware Custody
Highland tequila matures more slowly than Caribbean rum but faster than Scottish whisky. Custody is calibrated to local climate — including angel's share of 4 to 6 percent per year.
